It has been a while since a FCM or MMH update. The admin has finally sent one out earlier today for all to read. For any admin out there it is better to give a "bad" update then no updates at all.. Keep members in the loop and you will have a better turn out. Going silent can only do harm as we are humans and don't know anybody personally. So don't ignore or go silent.
Here Is The Update
I was hoping to bring you better news but we're still working on this. The problem in MMH is way bigger than we thought. We have tried varies options and they all lead to loss for members. It means the members who received earnings from the false units get to keep that money and other members pay for it. This because we can't make precise corrections since we don't know exactly what made what cycle out. I think you can imagine with 800 false units added to the system the total (false) amount is very high because members bought new units with the money they received when they cycled out because of the false units and members who cycled out because of that bought new units etc.
We have 2 more options to go through. If those don't lead to the solution to do this without loss for members then loss for members it will be. The loss can be all members who bought units after the false units have been added lose their purchases or the total loss will be calculated and spread over all members (in one way or another). Both options will get a lot of resistance, we know that so we're trying to find a way to avoid this but it's not that easy. For us taking all the loss is just not possible. Especially since 2 sites have been down for weeks now.
I know some will say just do the loss for members but you need to think about what happens. People will talk like we let members pay for this. It can be very bad for our reputation. I say this because I have seen how people post on forums when something happens. Even if you explain something like 10 times they still don't (want to) understand and just post negativity. We already see quite an impact from some of the posts on forums. We can see that in other programs we run (less invest). It's something we knew would happen with 2 sites down but negativity makes it worse of course. There are people who rather talk negative instead of looking at facts or those who say it's all so simple while they have no idea what they're talking about. Still there are some who are reading those posts and actually believe it so they start to post more negativity based on the nonsense in other posts. I see this happen a lot with programs when something happens. I don't know what those people are actually trying to accomplish.
Anyway, just want you to know we're still on it. I wish I could bring you better news but this is what it is at the moment. This update is only because I know many rather have an update with bad news (at the moment) than no update at all. Like I said we still have 2 options to go over and see if that maybe works. Like said before, FCM will be done after MMH is done. We need to stay focused on this and do it right.
As soon as I know more I will send out a new update again so keep an eye on your inbox. I'm not going to waste too much time at the forum anymore trying to talk sense into some of the people there. I have tried that and it's clearly a waste of time. Next to that we need all the time we can get to work on this. I know most will understand this and I know some will take this to post more negativity. So be it then. We're working for our true members like always. They know it and we know it (that's enough for me).
